See the dragons shake their tails, shake their tails, shake their tails. See the dragons shake their tails on Chinese New Year’s Day.

See the dragons go to sleep, go to sleep, go to sleep. See the dragons go to sleep on Chinese New Year’s Day.

Let’s wave and say “Ni hao (nee how),”
Let’s wave and say “Ni hao.”
Let’s say “hello” to all our friends,
Let’s wave and say “ni hao.”
The Craft: Fire-Breathing Dragon
What you’ll need:
- Green paper cup
- Scissors
- Tape
- Red crepe paper
- Craft stick
- Glue
- Green pom poms
- Wiggle eye stickers
How to make it:
Cut a small hole in the bottom of the cup.
Cut several streamers from the crepe paper. Tape the ends inside the cup around the small hole
Glue a craft stick to the bottom of the cup. Allow the glue to dry
Attach two pom poms near the base of the cup. Add a wiggle eye sticker to each pom pom. If you do not have wiggle eye stickers, you can use wiggle eyes and attach them with glue dots.
To make the dragon breathe fire, hold the cup and blow through the hole in the base of the cup.

Love the craft and the song with a little Chinese! Children are so fascinated by other languages, this will be a great addition to a dragon/Chinese storyhour. Hope you don’t mind my stealing it!
