Get your packages by Christmas eve.

Saturday, December 18th, 2010

Many of us are last minute shoppers. We are busy with our lives, have a strange affinity to stress, or just work better under pressure. It’s seven more days before Christmas — or rather, 5 business/shipping days — and your shopping list is still not complete. Know that you’re not alone!

We have created a shipping map to help make it easier to figure out if you’ll get your package on time for Christmas. The cutoff days are listed for ground shipping. Of course, we also offer expedited/express shipping — shipping costs will be determined as you checkout.

We have lots of elves on deck to help process all of your orders. All orders placed by 3p.m. CST will go out that very same business day.

Still unsure? Give us a call and we’ll help you figure it all out, we can even suggest some cool gift ideas if you wish.

Hope that helps! Happy shopping.

Better UPS tracking link

Friday, December 7th, 2007

When an order has been fulfilled and is on its way, an email is sent out to the customer. In the email there is a URL linking to the UPS.com site to track the package.

A customer from Illinois wrote us this week and made this suggestion:

I have an improvement for tracking packages.

Compare the link you give me for tracking packages to this one:

http://wwwapps.ups.com/WebTracking/processInputRequest?

TypeOfInquiryNumber=T&InquiryNumber1=XYZTRACKINGNUMBER

Perhaps you can update your automatically generated link to something like the one above? [yours requires that I do some additional clicking, the one above takes me straight to the status of my package]

As of last night, the tracking URL that is sent out to customers has been changed to reflect the better and easier tracking method. Thanks Kevin!

We value our customer’s input, comments and or suggestions. It is with feedbacks such as this that help us in providing the best shopping experience to you, our customers. So please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have something on your mind. We’d love to hear from you.

Gift Certificates are here

Wednesday, December 5th, 2007

When Jennifer at Des Moines Moms asked if we offer gift cards or certificates, we immediately decided to make it our top priority to offer gift certificates. That was about a month ago. We’re glad we did that because it took us a lot longer to implement than expected (isn’t that always the case?). So after a few weeks of coding it’s finally ready.

Late last night, we deployed a new version of KangarooBoo with the ability to purchase gift certificates. For those who don’t really know what gifts to get, how about the KangarooBoo Gift Certificate?

Not Made in China

Friday, November 9th, 2007

A couple of weeks ago (a mere three days after we launched), we got an email from a visitor:

Earlier this year, (after the second recall notice of the toys made in China) my wife and I decided that we will not buy any products made in China and thus are looking for toys manufactured in the USA or other countries.

We had planned on deploying a release later in the week that would allow a user to browse toys by “country made”. When we got this email we felt that we needed to release the feature that very day. So after I put the kids to bed in the evening, I started working on it. In addition to browse by “country made” I also made a custom page just for this visitor, a way to browse for toys NOT made in China.

Within 12 hours of receiving said email, we were able to produce a solution to this visitor’s inquiry. We hope that it helps others as well in finding toys not manufactured in China.
